Twice a year, our church gathers together to listen to words from our leaders. On Saturday, October 6th was one of those occasions. However, this conference weekend, the opening remarks would change the life on one girl. Within minutes of the announcement, I would receive a text from Jasmine. The prophet, President Thomas S Monson, had announced that the church was going to lower the age requirements for both boys and girls to serve missions. The press conference happened directly after the first session of conference.
We are so grateful for this announcement and the decision that Jasmine made that day to serve her mission.
